Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said police believe there is no longer an active shooter on campus.But most of the campus remains on a near complete lockdown, say reporters scattered across the downtown.
The State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) will make a statement shortly according to a USC spokesman Jeff Stenslend.People are asked to seek a safe shelter and obey all officials, the tweet said. All University of South Carolina buildings are on lockdown.
