A public relations practitioner claimed that Imenti Central MP Gideon Mwiti postponed their business meeting set for last Saturday, at his office in Westlands, Nairobi until 10pm, were he allegedly held her at his office until 1.30am on Sunday, then beat and raped her.
She was subjected to an HIV/Aids test by a doctor, allegedly based in Ngara, whom the MP was with, says a police report she filed at Parklands police station.
When the results of the test by the private practitioner came back negative,
She checked herself into Nairobi Women’s Hospital where doctors say she is recuperating.
Her husband said she called him from a toilet in the MPs office, in which she had locked herself. He said she reported that the MP had made sexual advances at her, and asked him to pick her up, saying her phone was about to go off.
Mwiti initially denied meeting her, but later said that a meeting took place between 5pm and 7pm. “I did not do the things you are saying and no police officer has called me. I know her and I also know the husband. We met yesterday (Saturday) before 7pm before I went to Njugunas for a meeting with my constituents,” he told the Standard.
“She is doing my public relations project, but that is not done at night. Yes, I know her very well. I have met her before. I am giving her the contract and she is to give me a quotation, but not at night." he said.
