David Harper and Jennifer Maguire were arrested after police found photos of the mother sexually assaulting her daughter for the pleasure of Harper
Maguire, who is a married woman and works at a bank, sexually assaulted her one-year-old daughter after Harper allegedly said it would be “cute” to see the mother abusing her toddler.
Harper, 36, became friends with his colleague Maguire, 31, before encouraging her to send him nude photos and videos of her and the child. The despicable crimes were uncovered as a result of an internal investigation related to the behavior of Harper in a Bank of Scotland branch in South Lanarkshire.
Police began an investigation after Harper was accused of harassing another female employee. When they reviewed his emails, officers found the disturbing material.
Maguire allegedly said that she agreed to Harper’s requests after he threatened to post naked pictures of her on the Internet.
Police confiscated his home computer and found thousands of images of child abuse. Harper denied making threats against Maguire.
The sexual assault against the child lasted over a period of 18 months, according to police.
