The Muhammadu Buhari's government has claimed that the bombing of some Creek billagesin Calabar, Cross River State and parts of Akwa Ibom was a preemptive airstrike against suspected Niger Delta Militants.
The bombings has left Nigerians wondering why Buhari should attack the Niger Delta that have been living relatively peaceful and quite in the last 7 years.
Opening a new battle field in the Niger Delta, will not be of any benefit to Nigeria, unless Buhari is looking for where to spend the $5billion aid from the USA or trying to provoke the Niger Delta Youths to take up arms again, after they seized fire about 7 years ago.
Whatever the reason for these bombing may be, it is a shame that Muhammadu Buhari should fired the first shot against the people of Niger Delta, while resorting to peaceful or begging Nigerian real enemies, the Islamist terror group, Boko Haram, whom he describe as his disgruntled Brothers, to lay down its arms?
Hope for Nigeria
