One migrant killed at the Channel Tunnel while trying to board a moving freight train

An Eritrean migrant was reportedly killed on the French side of the Channel Tunnel after trying to board a moving freight train to England.

The man died after attempting to get on a train at Coquelles, according to firefighters quoted by the daily Le Parisien newspaper.
The shocking incident comes in the week that Calais descended into chaos as the Channel Tunnel was shut due to French ferry workers strike.

Hundreds of migrants have used the strike as an opportunity to try and illegally enter Britain by climbing into the back of lorries.
