A suicide bomb attack at a Shi’ite mosque in Kuwait City has left 25 people dead and 202 wounded.The self acclaimed Islamic State terrorist group says it was behind the attack.
The blast came during Friday prayers at the Imam Sadiq mosque in the neighbourhood to the east of the centre of Kuwait City.Eyewitnesses say there were up to 2,000 people in the building at the time of the explosion.Sunni-governed Kuwait has a large Shia minority, which IS considers to be heretics.
