The only black man in the German Senate Dr Karamba Diaby who is originally from senegal and representing Halle (Saale) has decried the cowardly act of some unknown people who stormed his office last night break the glass and other things.
His words: In the Early hours of Friday ( 06/19/2015 ) , the windows of my office on the Großen Steinstraße in Halle (Saale) was vandalized .
I condemn this attack on my office . My Community Office is a place of encounter and dialogue . Violence is not a legitimate means of democracy . Violence is not a means of expression.
This vandalism is a new means of threat against me and my political work . And also to my team – I worry also about their safety .
One thing is clear : I would never allow myself be intimidated or deterred . I will continue to fight for the rights of my people! I thank all of you who have expressed their solidarity to me .
I have confidence in our police that they will clear up the incident completely .
