A new date has been set by FIFA to elect a new president.An extraordinary congress
will be held at the organisation’s headquarters in Zurich in
Switzerland on the 26th of February 2016.
It comes after a corruption
scandal swept through football’s world governing body in May. Seven
FIFA officials were arrested as part of a US-led probe into alleged
large-scale corruption and bribery. One of the arrested officials has been extradited to the US.
