Police in Benue state are currently investigating a bizarre episode of a young man in his 30s, identified as Terfa, who allegedly beheaded an elderly man at
his farm in Utonkon village in Otukpo.The man was said to have confessed that a native doctor promised to make
money rituals for him if he can provide a human head,
according to
witnesses, Terfa cornered the old man at his farm and beheaded him. It was
gathered that the suspect reportedly trailed his victim to his farm on Monday, July 13, where he cut off his head with a machette.
But luck ran out of him when some youths noticed and apprehended
him. On searching his bag, the severed head was found inside. That was when the suspected was handed over to the Otukpo Divisional Police
headquarters.
