Moving Boko Haram inmates to Anambra is like Spreading Ebola –Afenifere

The Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere, has added its voice to the raging criticism of Federal Government’s decision to relocate detained Boko Haram suspects to a prison facility in Anambra State.Spokesman of the group, Mr. Yinka Odumaki, who stated this in Lagos at a public forum to commemorate the life and times of MKO Abiola, explained that the alleged transfer of prisoners was like scattering Ebola patients who ought to be confined to a special ward.

His words: “Moving Boko Haram Prisoners is like spreading the Ebola Virus which is supposed to be confined.“We, the South-West people, kick against moving the prisoners to South-East Nigeria. We should contain Boko Haram and not spread it.“Also, one of the issues that have increased the incessant bombings in the North is the removal of military checkpoints. I will use this opportunity to plead with the federal government to restore military checkpoints where insurgency is at its peak,” Odumaki stated.
