In her statement, Chisa said she had to steal the child after she was told that her chances of having a baby were slim.
She said, " i underwent an operation and was told that i can no longer be able to bear children. That was why i stole the boy, i was not planning to sell him, i only wanted to have him for myself"
Investigation into the matter revealed that Chisa on April 17th, 2015 stole the Child and took him to Ogbakiri where she enroled him in a school. However mother luck ran out on her one morning as she was taking the stolen child to school, a neighbour of the child's real parents saw the boy and alerted the security authorities.
