Soon there shall be stable power supply in Imo - Rochas Okorocha


Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo has assured that the state will soon begin to enjoy steady power supply.Okorocha gave the assurance in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Sam Onwuemeodo, in Owerri on Tuesday.


The statement said that efforts were being intensified to bring the epileptic power supply in the state to a halt.It said that the governor visited Turkey and Moscow recently to ensure that he delivered on his campaign promises of creating jobs by establishing industries in the state.

It said that plans were under way to create the enabling environment to attract investors and boost internally generated revenue, and that the administration would properly organise artisans in the state to kick-start its job creation programme.

It also stated that a training programme would be organised for artisans in the state to enable them to perform optimally.“The aim is to make them contribute towards the growth of the state’s economy.

It assured workers of regular payment of their salaries and urged them to be committed to their jobs.
