Borno State Governo Kashim Shettima, gets 20 special advisers out of the 40 he rquested for at the Borno State House of Assembly, it was reduced to 20 following a motion by Hon. Mohammed Zakariya.The Speaker, Alhaji Abdulkarim Lawal said at the plenary session that the reduction was due to the state’s financial position, as well as to check the cost of governance.
However, an anonymous member of the House,has confirmed that the refusal was as a result of the Governor’s inability to lobby members.
In another development, the speaker announced Hon. Ayuba Wukawa, representing Hawul Constituency, as the Deputy House Leader, and Alhaji Audu Mustapha, representing Magumeri Constituency as the Chief Whip.
