A federal high court in Abuja on Monday fixed February 9 for mention and hearing of suit seeking to disqualify of the APC presidential candidate Gen Muhammadu Buhari from contesting the February 14 election.
The suit was filed by an Abuja base legal practitioner, Max Ozoaka, against Gen Buhari and the Independent Electoral Commission, INEC.
Mr Ozoaka is seeking Gen Buhari's educational qualifications as required under INEC form CF 001.
The fact that the Gen presented a sworn affidevit that his original certificates are presently with the Secretary Military Board cannot replace or satisfy INEC form 001.
The failure of the Gen to attach evidence of his birth certificate.
The curriculum vitae and voters registration card attached by the Gen in his INEC form 001 and submitted to INEC is not in conformity with the form prescribed by Electoral act and is in contravention to the INEC form 001.
