The deceased who was in the company of a man while taking a ride in a vehicle, in a popular safari park neglected to put up the car windows as they were driving through a lion camp, where “Super Close-Up Animal Views Guaranteed”.
The lion decided to take advantage of the open window and jumped through it, the animal attacked the woman in the car before dragging her out.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene even though the ambulances arrived quickly on the scene.
The man survived the attack, but suffered serious injuries he received while trying to fight the cat off the woman.
Hopefully the park won’t be penalized, even though this is the third attack at the park in four months.
An Australian tourist, who had his windows down, was attacked by a lion in March and suffered some nasty bite wounds to his legs and arm.
Two days later, a 13-year-old boy decided to use the park as a shortcut while riding his bicycle and was attacked by a cheetah.
“We make it so clear. We put signage up everywhere that people must keep their windows closed.
We hand them a slip of paper when they enter the park, I really don’t understand why people think its okay to leave windows open,” said Scott Simpson, assistant operations manager at the park and oblivious to the level of stupidity people have no issues reaching.
