Edward Gitau was charged before a Milimani court on Tuesday in connection with the incident that occurred in a Githurai bound bus in December last year.
However, he denied the charges. Gitau was accused of sexually assaulting a woman on September 19, 2014 at Millenium Petrol Station in Githurai 44, jointly with others who were before court. He was also charged with robbing the victim items amounting to Sh41,700.
The prosecution told the court it was seeking to consolidate the case with an earlier one in which two other suspects were charged in relation to the incident.
The other two, Nicholas Mwangi and Meshack Mwangi, are still in custody after they also denied the charges before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Lucy Mbugua.
