He was aged 75He passed on at the Borommeo Hospital, Onitsha, a missionary hospital just a stone throw to his Inosi Onira country home, in the early hours of Sunday.
A family source said last night that Chukwuma had been battling protracted respiratory ailment for some years, which had kept him out of public view.
Chukwuma until his death was the Owelle of Onitsha,a traditional position he inherited from his late father in 1996.
As Owelle, Chukwuma was sixth in the title ranking in Onitsha.He had, in 1991, aspired aspired to govern the old Anambra State and after that unsuccessful bid, he never contested for any other public office.
Details about his funeral would be announced later in accordance with the Onitsha customs and traditions.
