Officials say the migrants had made their treacherous journey from Bangladesh.As reported by the New York Post, government spokesman Ye Htut said: "There are 208 people on-board the vessel, of them 10 is the age of about 14 years and the remaining are aged between 30 and 40.
"They are from Cox's Bazar, Chittagong and north of Dhaka.
"They are altogether 219 people including nine crew members and two Bengali interpreters."
Many countries in the region are discovering similar boats, with migrants complaining of persecution in their countries.
In many cases, migrants are attempting to reach Indonesia and Malaysia.
Officials say the migrants originated from Bangladesh
