South Africa Most Corrupt Country In Africa

According to a  Transparency International survey released Tuesday, South Africa top the list of countries where citizens believe  corruption  has got worse in the last year. 83 percent of South Africans interviewed felt that corruption had increased, with Ghana and Nigeria also among the worst-affected nations.Across all 28 countries surveyed, the police, business executives, government officials and the courts were all perceived as corrupt, with 75 million people estimated to have paid a bribe in the past year.

Imagine finding your stolen car after 22 years, this is what happen to a  man in South Africa. Derick Goosen could be forgiven for losing hope that he would ever be reunited with his 1988 Toyota Corolla, which was stolen from a complex in Wonderboom in 1993.Finding the vehicle seemed like a lost cause. But thanks to some crafty and diligent police work, Goosen has found his long lost love.When Goosen, who now lives in Rietfontein, returned from a night out with his friend, his car was nowhere to be found. For months he searched in vain.

Police beat Nigerian man to death in South Africa


Mr Ikechukwu Anyene, the President of Nigeria Union in South Africa, on Thursday, decried the killing of a Nigerian in Hillbrow, Johannesburg.The Nigerian, Nonso Odo, 30, from Amangwu-Nkwerre, Imo state, was allegedly tortured to death by South African Police officers on Thursday.

South Africa: Mandela and Zuma relatives to pay $140m compensation to mine shareholders


A court inJ ohannesburg has  ruled on Thursday that relatives of Nelson Mandela and South African President, Jacob Zuma, acted in a reckless and fraudulent manner when they stripped the assets of two mines operated by their company.

Judge Eberhard Bertelsmann ordered the directors and associates involved in Aurora Empowerment Systems to pay shareholders and liquidators 1.7 billion rand, approximately 140 million dollars, in compensation for their role in the firm’s demise.

The collapse of the companies left thousands of workers jobless and destitute.

According to reports one, Mr Emmanuel Onyekaozuru, 50, who was a business man in South Africa have been killed by  by gunmen on Sunday.

The President of Nigeria Union in South Africa, Mr Ikechukwu Anyene, on Monday told newsmen in Pretoria, South Africa, that the Nigerian businessman Onyekaozuru who was based in Johannesburg, was shot by two gunmen.

South Africa: Woman killed when lion dragged her out of car in a safari park


.A lion has reportedly dragged a woman out of a car and mauled her to death in  a safari park in Johannesburg.

The deceased who was  in the company of a man while taking a ride in a vehicle, in a popular safari park neglected to put up the car windows as they were driving through a lion camp, where “Super Close-Up Animal Views Guaranteed”.

The lion decided to take advantage of the open window and jumped through it, the animal  attacked  the  woman in the car before dragging her out.

South Africa: Gauteng school admits to racially segregating pupils



An investigation has determined that a school known as  Curro Foundation School in Roodeplaat, near Pretoria, South Africa, did segregate its Grade R pupils according to race after it was pressurised by white parents, Gauteng Education MEC Panyaza Lesufi said on Thursday.

"In January this year we received complaints with regard to allegations of racial segregation. It was alleged that some classes were made up of only black students  and white students were grouped together separately," he said in a statement.

South Africa: Two men plead guilty to rape and murder of nun, 86


The two South African men charged with the rape and murder of an 86-year-old Austrian-born nun pleaded guilty on Tuesday, saying they had broken into the convent to steal food.

 Sister Gertrud Tiefenbacher, from the Sacred Heart Home Convent in the village of Ixopo, southwest of Durban, South Africa, was murdered last month.

 In a statement read in court, Sibongiseni Phungula, 25, said he and his co-accused, Mondli Shozi, 26, had gone to the covent to look for food after a night of drinking.

South Africa: HIV positive people who tattoo status near their privates could get over $4,000


According to reports it  has  emerged that confirmed HIV positive South Africans who volunteer to be marked near their genital area with a  tattoo depicting their status, will in addition to free counselling and medication be paid an equivalent of 50 000 Rands ($4,000).

This is reportedly in accordance with a new bill signed by President Jacob Zuma. Local South African media has reportedly lauded the move as as one of the greatest steps in the history of combating the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the country.

Mmusi Maimane has been elected, on Sunday,as the first black leader, of the South Africa's main opposition party, the Democratic Alliance, a major step in its efforts to challenge the ruling African National Congress (ANC)

“Your new leader is Mmusi Maimane,” outgoing leader Helen Zille announced to loud cheers at the party’s annual conference, after she opened a sealed envelope containing the election results.

South Africa: Man raped at gunpoint by 3 women so they could collect his semen in a cooler box and 'steal' it



As part of a growing trend in South Africa,a man was kidnapped at gunpoint and raped by three women who collected his semen in a cool box and stealing it before abandoning their victim 

The 33-year-old man gave the women directions when they pulled up in a black BMW. Suddenly, one of the women armed with a gun got out and forced him into the back of the car at gunpoint.

The trio then drove him 500km away and fondled him in the back of the car but he did not become aroused, so they forced him to drink an 'unknown substance' from a bottle to aid him.

The trio raped the man repeatedly and collected his semen in plastic bags, placing them in a cooler box

South Africa: Suppose witch caught red-handed defecating in a Pastors locked - up Kitchen


It is not yet clear how a small child caught a suppose witch in the kitchen of a man of God.

Sources say the witch was caught in the kitchen of Pastor Nsingwane, of the Word of God Church, while she was  defecating in a bucket.

The man of God said he was shocked when he saw her, because everywhere was locked and nobody could come in.

A killer who ate his victim's heart with a knife and fork in a bizarre bid 'to prove he wasn't gay' has been jailed for 18 years in South Africa.

Zimbabwean Andrew Chimboza pleaded guilty to stabbing 62-year-old Mbuyiselo Manona to death at the home of Manona's lover in Cape Town's Gugulethu township in June last year.

When officers arrived at the scene they found the 35-year-old 'busy eating' Mr Manona's heart.
