Three more suspects were arrested on Friday over last Saturday’s killing of Kabete MP George Muchai.
A G3 rifle believed to have been used in the killing was also recovered.
The three were arrested in Area 87, near Kinoo off the Nairobi Naivasha road by Flying Squad officers.
One is suspected to be the lone gunman who shot dead the MP, his driver and two police bodyguards.
He is then said to have beckoned his accomplices to ransack the vehicle during the shooting at 3am last Saturday on Kenyatta Avenue, Nairobi, Kenya.
A Ceska pistol that was taken away from one of the bodyguards, Constable Samuel Kimanthi, was also recovered during the raid, police added.
Mr Muchai was buried at his home in Kamulu on Friday.
Acting police Inspector-General Samuel Arachi, said, “We have the suspects and we have recovered the gun and other items that could have been taken. We shall give more information later.”
This came as police presented a suspect, Simon Wambugu Gichamba, in a Nairobi court on Friday and were allowed to hold him for 14 more days as they wrap up investigations.Read here.
