Johnny Depp got injured on the location for “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales” in Australia.
According to Variety magazine, the 51 year old actor, who’ll now be flown back to the U.S. for surgery, was not working at the time of his injury. How he hurt himself has not been disclosed yet.
The production will continue shooting scenes around Depp’s character, Captain Jack Sparrow, for the next few weeks even in his abscence..
The 5th film in the franchise, which also stars Javier Bardem and Brenton Thwaites, with “Kon Tiki” directors Espen Sandberg and Joachim Rg at the helm, had begun shooting last month, and has been scheduled to release July, 2017.
