India: Puthiya Thalaimurai channel attack suspects caught

All the four suspects belonged to Hindu Illaignar Sena, a little-known outfit functioning from Koyambedu, in Chennai

Four persons, who are believed to have hurled crude bombs at the office of Tamil television channel Puthiya Thalaimurai were arrested on Thursday by the Guindy Police.

The police identified the suspects from CCTV footages obtained from the channel's office. All the four suspects belonged to Hindu Illaignar Sena, a little-known outfit functioning from Koyambedu, in Chennai. Photo: M. Prabhu.

Police have also seized two motocycles, which were used by the suspects to hurl bombs at the office, early Thursday morning.

Police sources said more crude bombs were also seized from the outfit's premises.
Chennai City Commissioner S. George will address the media shortly, to officially announce the developments in the case. 

The attack was believed to be perpetuated by Hindu Illaignar Sena.
