A 33-seater bus lost control and rammed into a Toyota saloon vehicle forcing it off the road.
The mini-bus then rolled on top of the car flattening it. The occupant of the car, a lady, escaped with minor injuries. Passengers in the minibus that was headed into the CBD from Uthiru were however injured.
Police have urged motorists to exercise caution on the roads following heavy rains experienced in several parts of the city Monday evening.
The accident that occurred just before 6am Tuesday morning caused heavy traffic along the busy Waiyaki Way. Police have since moved both wreckages.
