Nigeria: 4 siblings burnt to death in Anambra


Tragedy has strike a family in Omuko village, Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State,Nigeria, when four children  were on Monday burnt to death after a candle caused an inferno that burnt down their one bedroom apartment.


It was gathered that the parents of the four deceased children who hail from Ebonyi State, were not in the apartment when the tragedy occurred.
The deceased identified as Ikechukwu, Chinonso, Chisom, and Chioma were rushed to Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, where they were confirmed dead.

 Mr Ozoemena Nwoye, the father of the children while expressing his pain over the death of his said,

 “I am so devastated by the fire incident. I want help from the public. My family has been suffering from one problem to another.

“We do not really have any hope right now. We do not know who to run to. I am appealing to kind-hearted Nigerians to please come to our aid, with whatever they can afford to give us, so that we can bury our children and settle the hospital bills.”
