It has been controversy on the social media after the American first lady Mrs Michelle Obama accompanied her husband to Saudi Arabia to pay tribute to the late king Abdullah and to meet with the new king, Salman, without wearing a veil.
The First Lady was bareheaded, in a country where women, except for some foreigners, never appear in public without a veil, although her hands are covered as it is the custom in Saudi Arabia, numerous commentators on the social media also felt that her blue dress was inappropriate it would have been better if she had wore a black one.
