South Africa: protest and violent looting in Soweto



About 121 people has been arrested by the South African police for looting foreign owned shops in the cause of protesting the death of a teenager,who was shot by a foreign shop owner who said he fired a warning shoot when a mob tried to loot his shop .
The  violent protest has also lead to the death of a foreign national and no arrest has been made for this death.

The people  held by the police are facing charges ranging from murder, attempted murder,possession of suspected stolen property and fraund.

The police also retrieved 11 guns ten of which belong to foreign nationals, and stolen goods worth thousands of rand.
The shop owner who was accused of killing the teenager was denied bail.
