Reality TV star Bruce Jenner won praise Saturday from celebrities and activists for revealing he is transitioning from male to female, ending long-running speculation he identifies as a woman.

South Africa: Zuma to blame for attacks on statues - AfriForum


Afrikaner civil rights group AfriForum on Monday has said that  President Jacob Zuma is to blame for the defacement of statues that have occurred across the country.
  
The group said Zuma’s statement, that all of the country’s problems had originated with the arrival of Jan van Riebeeck, was the catalyst for what has happened to the statues.

Kim Kardashian and  husband Kanye West looked like one happy family as they stepped out in Armenia on Sunday evening, along with their one-year-old daughter, North.



The couple swung the little girl through the air following dinner and the adorable child, who is affectionately known as Nori, whooped in delight and giggled as they did so.

The family   enjoyed their last night out in Armenia as a group, following their tour of the country.

US: Same - sex marriage recognized by Presbyterian Church

The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has updated its constitution to recognize same -  sex marriage, bringing the laws of the nation’s eighth largest Protestant denomination  with about 1.75 million member in line with its already accepted practice.

Individual churches will still be able to decline to perform such marriages if they believe them inappropriate, the church said Tuesday.

The General Assembly of the PC(USA), the largest of several U.S. Presbyterian denominations, OK’d the amendment to its Book of Order last year, but the change had to win the approval of a majority of the 171 local governing bodies, or presbyteries, to become official.

The church said Tuesday that the Palisades Presbytery, based in Rochelle Park, New Jersey, had become the 86th local body to approve the amendment.

5 men receive 20 lashes each for installing toilets in their home


Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Mosul, announced that its fighters had whipped five men for using flush toilet instead of squat toilet in their homes.


The incident unfolded on Tuesday night. Each of the five men were lashed 20 times. Residents in the city, said that ISIS warned that they would lash anyone who uses a flush toilet in their home.

ISIS also warned residents to refrain from using cellphones, watching TV and chewing gum. Violators will receive 20 lashes for each offense.

Earlier this month, ISIS fighters captured a man and took him as a prisoner to Mosul.The mother of the man, who was determined to see her son, traveled to ISIS headquarters and asked to see him. The terrorists told the mother to rest after her long journey, and offered her food before taking her to her son.

They brought her cups of tea and fed her a meal of cooked meat, rice and soup. At first, she thought that they were kind.

When she was done eating, she asked the terrorists to take her to her son, but they laughed in her face, saying that she just ate him.

The poor woman did not know that the terrorists killed her son and made a meal from his flesh before feeding her.

Officials in Bulawayo have shot 160 stray dogs in a campaign to curb the spread of rabies.

The authorities are pressing on with “Operation Tie Up Order”, despite an outcry from animal welfare activists.
