South Africa: Angry crowd mobs Flabba murder accused’s hearing as she shows bruises and stab wound in court

An angry crowd has mobbed relatives of Flabba murder accused Sindisiwe Precious Manqele outside the Alexandra Magistrate's Court in Johannesburg on Tuesday, report say.

Regional Court courtroom one of the Alexandra Magistrate's Court was packed to capacity ahead of the appearance of Manqele, alleged to have fatally stabbed her musician boyfriend Nkululeko Habedi, also known as Flabba.


Journalists and members of the public huddled in the courtroom benches while outside the court scores of people tried to enter, hoping to find a space in the courtroom.

Two security officials present at the courthouse though were unable to stop a mob of angry locals from harassing one of the relatives of the 26 year old, tweeted Jacaranda FM.

The same relative is reported to have hit a parked car while trying to leave the courthouse.
Meanwhile, Habedi's family members were also stranded outside the court.
Dressed in black and wearing dark glasses, some of Habedi's relatives argued with police officials, wanting seats in the courtroom.

"There must be order. The court needs to have names," said one female relative, questioning who all the people seated in the courtroom were.

Manqele was charged with killing the Skwatta Kamp star  and the case has been postponed to 16 March for further investigations, while the accused  remain in police custody. .
