Owner of Chinese restaurant that bars Africans after 5pm arrested for lack of licence

The owner of a Chinese restaurant in Nairobi that reportedly does not allow African patrons after 5pm ( Read here) has been arrested for operating the business without a licence.



 Zhang Yang, owner of the Chinese Restaurant has been ordered to appear at the Milimani High Court on Thursday or pay a fine Sh50,000 in default.

It was reported that only “loyal” Africans are allowed into the restaurant after 5pm. and must spend at least Sh20,000 at the restaurant to prove themselves loyal and to be allowed   to stay after the set time.
