How man was killed by lover's son

Tragedy struck in Benin city as a middle-aged man, whose name was given as Osayande Edoigiawerie, was allegedly stabbed to death by his lover’s son at Zabayor Street, Benin, the Edo State capital on Monday night.

Edoigiawerie was said to have gone to his lover’s to have his dinner when the son of the woman, who is now on the run, attacked him with a dagger.



The mother of the assailant was said to have raised the alarm, which attracted the people in the area to the scene.

 He was rushed to a nearby clinic, where he was confirmed dead.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Stephen Onwuchei said he was yet to be informed of the incident.
