Eight people died Friday evening and 22 others were injured when a Bus they were travelling in lost control and veered off the road.According to witnesses, the incident which occurred near Blue Post Hotel along Thika road was caused by a private vehicle that attempted to overtake the matatu (Bus).
A saloon car attempted to overtake the bus but instead rammed into it from behind.It was then that the bus lost control and veered off the road before overturning.Confirming the incident, traffic base commander Apelles Chacha said the 22 casualties all in critical condition were admitted to different hospitals in Thika.The bodies of the eight victims were moved to the Nairobi City Mortuary.
