South Africa: Rapper Flabba slain by girlfriend

 Slain Skwatta Kamp rapper Nkululeko Habedi, better known as Flabba younger brother, says he watched his brother die on Monday.

Habedi’s younger brother told an eNCA reporter that he was woken up by a noise in the early hours of Monday morning at his brother’s home in Alexandra, Johannesburg.

On investigation, he said he witnessed his brother’s death after the rapper was allegedly stabbed by his girlfriend during a "lover's quarrel" at around 02:00.

The body was removed from the scene at around 08:00 on Monday. Friends and family members are present at the scene.

Gauteng police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Katlego Mogale confirmed the death, telling City Press: "At this stage we can confirm that a well-known musician was allegedly stabbed to death."
“His girlfriend is in custody and she is expected to appear in court soon."
Rapper, group member and close friend Siyabonga “Slikour” Metane also confirmed the death early on Monday.

"I just got a call from his family. I will be on my way to his family’s home," he said.
Eyewitness News reported on Monday that Habedi, along with fellow group member Shugasmackx, had performed at a birthday party for Pretoria rapper JR in Sandton on Sunday night.
