Blogger Mom Accused Of Injecting Chronically Ill Daughter With Urine

A 42-year-old  Australian woman, who was  an avid blogger  that regularly wrote about her daughter's health, has been charged with repeatedly poisoning her nine-year-old daughter with injections of urine.The case started in March when the girl, who suffers from a rare genetic illness, was hospitalized with life-threatening renal failure. Tended court papers also show she was suffering from a severe rash.

Australia:Two Nigerian Men Arrested with over 40kg of drugs

The Australian police has nabbed two Nigerian men, 51-year-old Iwuchukwu Odemegwo and Chibuike Anyasor who were said to be in possession of hard drugs.The duo are most probably to face maximum penalty of life imprisonment if found guilty for allegedly importing more than 40 kilograms of methamphetamine which they concealed inside bar fridges and Jackie Chan-branded DVD players into Australia.

Woman Gets $1.6m For Being Wrongly Jailed For 10 Years In Australian


According to a media report in Sydney, a woman, who was found by a court to have been wrongly jailed for 10 years for attempting to kill her husband, was awarded 1.6 million dollars compensation. Roseanne Beckett was jailed in 1991 for allegedly trying to solicit others to kill her husband Barry Catt as well as trying to poison him.The report noted that Beckett became the state’s longest-serving female inmate, before she was released in 2001, and her case became a cause célèbre for advocates who saw a miscarriage of justice.

Australia: 91 year-old papa arrested for cocaine smuggling

A 91-year-old Australian Victor Twartzwas said to have been used by drug smugglers to fly 4.5 kilograms of cocaine disguised as soap from India to Australia, police said Tuesday.The  man was stopped at Sydney airport on his arrival from New Delhi on July 8th when customs officers became suspicious of the contents of his luggage.

Johnny Depp's dogs face death for skipping Australian quarantine



The threat to kill Hollywood Actor Johnny Depp’s two pet dogs, Boo and Pistol in Australia has sparked an angry response from animal lovers and fans of the actor.


Australia’s agriculture minister Barnaby Joyce  has ordered Depp to remove the two Yorkshire terriers from the country within 48 hours, saying "it's time that Pistol and Boo b***k off back to the United States."

Australian trafficker marries before Indonesia execution



An Australian drug trafficker on death row , Andrew Chan, 31 married his girlfriend Monday on the Indonesian prison island where he is set to be executed soon, his brother said, urging the country’s president to show compassion to the newlyweds.

 Andrew Chan, married his Indonesian girlfriend Febyanti Herewila in a ceremony on Nusakambangan Island, home to several high-security prisons, his brother Michael said.
