NFF unveil ex-international, Sunday Oliseh as Super Eagles coach



Sunday Oliseh have been unveiled by  the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)  as the new coach of the Super Eagles.
After the Saturday, July 4 sacking of Stephen Keshi, the NFF started negotiations with former Nigerian international Oliseh and last week confirmed that he will be the new coach.

A Fifa Official Agrees To USA Extradition


One of seven Fifa officials detained in Switzerland in a corruption probe has agreed to be extradited to the United States, the Swiss Federal Office of Justice (FOJ) said on Friday.
Seven officials were arrested in May in a dawn raid by Swiss police at a luxury hotel in Zurich, on corruption charges filed by US prosecutors in New York.
Their arrests sparked a scandal which has engulfed Zurich-based Fifa, world soccer’s governing body, and put pressure on Sepp Blatter to step down as its president.

The Rio 2016 Olympic torch has been  unveiled Friday at a special ceremony attended by Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff in the capital of Brasilia.Organisers said the inspiration for the design was drawn from Brazil’s nature and the “harmonious diversity and energy” of its people while the torch fully incorporated the Olympic spirit.

#FIFAGate: Switzerland to formally extradite FIFA officials to the US


Switzerland  has been formally asked by the US to extradite seven FIFA officials arrested at the end of May in a corruption inquiry.
It is the first stage in what seems to be a long procedure of up to six months according to Swiss authorities as those being held had previously indicated that they would oppose extradition.
